About Me

I'm Tonya and I am from Texas. I served as an educator for over  a decade in the special education field and also as a school counselor. I started my career in education as a special education teacher and I have worked in a variety of areas in special education to include co-teaching, inclusion, resource, life skills, behavior and self-contained classrooms. As a school counselor, I served at the elementary and middle school levels and worked in a variety of educational settings. I have advocated for children in a variety of ways which includes as a court appointed special advocate or CASA and I have served as a school board trustee.
